My wife and I were born and raised in Detroit. We got started in real estate with the purchase of our first home in 2009. It was during the "Great Recession" and we were buried in student loan debt. After selling that house in 2016 we made nearly 3x the purchase price. It was determination and sweat equity that created that huge return. I'm a veteran of the United States Marines and I learned the trades as a teenager so I enjoy the renovation process. My wife, three children and I are enjoying life and investing at our own pace. We're currently using a mixture of Buy and Live & BRRRR. Professionally, I am a videographer and photographer and my wife is a Family and consumer science teacher. We're currently living in Lansing Michigan.
