We have done fix and flips of our own homes for years (now called house hacking). I owned and operated a remodel business for years (focused on high end homes and some commercial properties) so I have experience in many areas of rehab. My wife is the Real Estate Broker, and has been very successful in regular buy/sell for clients for 10 years in several markets. She is very skillful in finding the right property, knowing the right value and negotiating the deals (and protecting her clients). Now we are moving into using our experience and skills for our own future! But there are critical skills that we need help with to go further and build our dreams. We are looking for business plans (tools that can help evaluate deals, guidelines on what IS a good deal, etc.) and advice on expansion, rentals, and the like. Also looking for mentors or fellow investors on the journey who are willing to teach and encourage. We are fast learners, capable in many areas, just lacking other parts of the puzzle to make the whole REI picture work for us.
