Important BiggerPockets PRO Service Update

May 15 Update: We just deployed the changes below.  

As we begin a comprehensive overhaul of BiggerPockets, we're starting by moving our payment processing from Paypal to another company.  We've been working with them to provide payment services on other parts of the site, and have been extremely pleased with their product and service.

I tell you this because in the coming hours/days, we're going to be switching off our current Paypal integration and will be moving to the new payment processor/gateway for our PRO accounts. 

Unfortunately, there is no simple way to take all of the payment information and move it to Braintree, primarily because we don't have access to this information for your security. 

For ALL PRO users
We will be terminating your payment profiles through Paypal at the time of deployment.  You should get an email stating that your recurring payment profile has been canceled.

Monthly PRO Users
- You will all get 1 additional month of PRO service, regardless of when your last month is slated to expire to give you the additional time to upgrade before your service expires.

- Once that month is up, you will need to enter your credit card into our system to continue your PRO service.  

Annual PRO Users
- We'll also be offering you a free month of service on top of the 12 months you've paid for, so if your service is slated to renew on June 5, it will expire on July 5.
- At that point, like the monthly subscribers, you will need to enter your credit card into our system in order to gain access to the PRO accounts once again.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience that this may cause, but it is a necessicary move to improve our service.

If for some reason, you are billed via Paypal after we announce the switch, please let us know right away and we'll do everything in our power to get things straightened out for you right away.
