Josh, after chatting with you on Skype a few minutes ago you had mentioned you had some big plans for the site and of course you wouldn't grace me with any details :shake:

That got me thinking what in the world could you change to the best investing forum on the net? then I thought of something.

Would it be possible if we were able to 'customize' our profiles into their own site so to speak? like a Myspace of BP?

I can't really go into details simply b/c I'm not a Myspace expert, or a social networking expert but just food for thought.

Hey Movtiv8ed, I kinda see where you are going with this.. Something like you can attach your own domain to the BP site domain so you can also direct clients etc. to a place if you don't have a site. Like a spin off... but all circles back around to BP. I think that you have a good idea there.

Ok, were on to something here. Good call Christine. I had suggested to josh on twitter last week that he allow agents IDX links to be imported.

A customizable Domain with a HTML editable page would be awesome. I'm almost done with my myspace page and It's almost as good as having a personal web page.

example: http://www.myspace.com/stephenmckeerealtor

I paste my profile for this page on everything including my email signature. Wow, there's a lot more that can be done.

I love new ideas and will certainly brainstorm off this discussion. A few things:

How is the MySpace page you pointed to any different from a complete profile here on BP? If filled in appropriately, couldn't a profile here be a pretty complete calling card just as the MySpace page was? Add in a PRO account to make your info public for all to view and you've done it, no?

As for the idea of using a BP page as its own domain . . . that's interesting. You can actually do that right now. Just register a domain, and forward it to your profile here on the site. e.g. You register JoesRealEstate.com and have it forward to your profile page.

We're still looking at the IDX idea, and I'll continue to see what we can do about that.

Finally, we've got a lot planned for our profiles and the site in general, and your ideas always add to the plans, so thanks to all!

An HTML editable profile may be a little much. Linkedin doesn't use one and it works fine. As for the pro account. My info is public. Google Stephen Mckee Realtor, you should get about 12 social networking pages. BP is first (awesome) I like that the public can't view my info without creating an account. We need to drive more people to this site. The domain name would be sweet because you wouldn't have to pay to host an extra page every year.

hey! how did my 'suggestion' thread turn into a pep rally to invite others into this totally awesome site?
