VA inspection Failure Questions

Using VA loan - "as is" stated in listing.

Probably will fail:
--2 broken windows
--peeling paint(windows and garage).

Should I clean these up before?  Or see if the seller will address these?  As is sale on listing.

Also, is there a fee if inspector has to reinspect?

Gracias for any help.

Kirk

Hello Kirk,

Find out from the lender the issues the VA appraiser will be looking for. Sometimes the lender is familiar and you can avoid issues ahead of time. 99% of the time their is a fee every time they come out to the property, so negotiate with the seller on those items after the home inspection before the appraisal during the option period if you have one. I hope that helps some.
