I would like to meet other rental owners in the town where I do business. I think it would be beneficial if owners were able to get to know each other and share notes. One area in particular is property management. I thought it would be great if I knew the other owners using my same property management company so that we could share notes and bargain collectively. I cannot tell you how many times I hear my PM tell me that the other owners are fine with it... The other owners are doing it... etc... I'm sure I would run into this with many PM's. Since I am also employed, I cannot take on the PM work myself.
Does anyone have any experience like this? A site similar to this one seems like it would work if there were a geographic breakdown - like craigslist. Then we could get to know each other and have meet-ups or something.

Honestly to tell ya, most landlords are lost. They happen to buy one or two rentals and blindly try to find their way to a profit. Be careful who you take advice from
Here on BP, there are a ton of real players in the land lording game. This is a global network and you can learn at your own pace from different people around the country that do this on a large scale.
So in short, I would look on here for some land lording forums and get involved that way. I used to be the president of a REIA group with over 100 members. Since the internet took off, I barely ever network in my own area and in person anymore. If there is an event, I send one of my guys to represent me because I would rather be on line talking with people out of my area.

P.S. I am not the one to ask about land lording, the most houses I ever had at once was 42. I really don't care for that aspect of the biz. LOL
If there isn't already a discussion forum for your area, how about creating one?
Also, if there aren't any reviews of your property manager by other owners on Yelp or similar review sites you could be the first. There may be others in your situation who have yet to take the initiative.
