ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION

BRING YOUR CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS!! How you pick and manage your contractors can make or break any real estate deal. Most of us work hard to find a project that makes financial sense and our projections of a profit hang on how well we execute our renovation of the property. Our noted panel consist of Austin BP veterans Jean Norton and Cory Young. I will be there to share my experience in dealing with mechanics liens.

Our December meeting will be Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 10:00 am. Lynn's office is at 1107 S. 8th. St., Austin, TX, 78704. See you in the conference room.

    Hello All!

    We're looking forward to tomorrow's meetup.

    Tomorrow's meeting will be at 1107 S. 8th St, 78704 at 10 a.m. We'll network until 10:30 and then do a panel discussion with Jean Norton, Corey Young, and Jim Sinclair on managing contractors. I'll be moderating, so if you have any burning questions, send them over! Of course, as with all of our meetings, questions during the panel will be encouraged.

    The classic question within this subject is "How to find a good Contractor", one idea to tackle this issue (locally) is to generate a "Best of Austin" contractor list (per trade?) from our network and good experiences.

    I currently do buy and holds in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I am planning a trip down to Austin for my W2 job, and I was wondering if there might be a meet up coming up in February.  I realize that this is a little early, but I wanted a little time to set my business schedule around potentially joining the meet up.

    Hi @Arlen Chou ,

    There are several great Austin Meetups. 

    The Central Austin Meetup is the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. 

    Another great option for you is a networking lunch on Thursdays from 11:30-1 at a restaurant called Big Daddy's near 183 and Burnet Road.
