Hello from Houston, Tx

Hello all,
I have become interested in real estate over the past few weeks. This is all i can think of, yet it is sooo hard to find good information. I have played on this forum very briefly..and it appears this might be what i need! To say the least, I am very lost! As of now, I am working for a chemical's company...making decent money and lots of time off. I am looking for something to invest $$ in, and satisfy the construction addict in me. I am hoping to learn whatever you all can throw at me...and hopefully become atleast half-way successful. I look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome.... I have a bunch of places mostly down around TX City. There are deals all over the place. Where are you looking at places?

Chris,
Currently I am working in Pasadena...living in Pearland. I would like to keep something in the whereabouts of my daily commute. After I have my first rehab under my belt, I believe it will become easier to travel a bit further. As for deals being everywhere....that might be true, yet I have not been able to master the art of finding them. Hopefully one day I will....in the mean time, I will learn as I go.

K Dub,

What kind of deal are you looking for? What price range? Are you interested in doing rehabs? I ask because I've got deals all over the Houston area. Let me know what your investing goals are and I'll do my best to help you find the properties to get you there.

Jaremy,
First off I am very interested in doing rehabs. I have looked at your properties many times already, and do think there is value there. My problem right now is finding the funding. Once I have the funds, then I can become more serious with my searching. I am currently trying to locate hard money as every other angle I have tried has fallen thru. Thanks for everything and I would love to work with you...just give me a little time to find the moola!

K Dub,

Google "Red Door Funding". They are a good hard money lender here in Houston. I've personally done a bunch of deals with them. Ask for David Williams when you call.

Jet is also a good one. I've had many buyers use Jet to fund the deals they've bought from me. I know the owner of Jet Investor Lending but I don't know the people who work for him.

I only mentioned Red Door because I know the folks over there a little better since I've personally done about 20 or so hard money loans through them.

Both companies have great track records here in Houston, as many of my buyers successfully borrow from them on a regular basis. I have never heard a complaint about either one.

Welcome K Dub to BP. One word of advice, don't spend money on any courses. Everything you need to learn can be found in BP. Save your money from "guru" courses for your Earnest Money and Down Payment on your first deal instead.
