great job!!! I tried quitting many many times. My mother always taught me never to be a quitter though so I didn't want to let her down :)
Man I remember those days, its a tough road to travel especially if your like me and smoked 2 packs a day.
Congratulations on the monumental success and I hope that you keep it up.
lol and wow.... well paying $200 to wheeze and feel like crap everyday was excessive.
Not only that, but when I started smoking like 10 years ago, smoking was cool. Now I feel like a lepar when I smoke. I have to go off to a spot by myself away from everyone, people throw tomatoes, cabbage, and loaves of bread at me as they run from me yelling "SMOKER!!" I had enough of it
Michael,
Great job so far. And keep up the great work! When I decided to quit, it was very very hard. But, now that I have several years of not smoking, I am so glad I quit.
Michael
I haven't smoked in almost 3 years and I still get the urge, especially when if I go have a few drinks with old friends. Or even when it has been a very long day and the stress has built up.
To me it isn't so much of choosing not to smoke it has been finding something to feel that void so to speak. For me it is my kid, I quit cold turkey when my wife told me she was pregnant. So my stress is easily relieved with a good game of daddy playground or daddy daddy read this book.
It is so freeing to quit a bad habit. Now it's time to think about what good habit you can replace it with :D

Congrats from a former 2-3 pack a day smoker. Took me quite a while to quit back in the day. Not so much that I couldn't quit, I just really didn't want to badly enough. When I finally got to the point that I really wanted to quit, and realized that if I didn't quit now I probably never would, it was actually very easy. That was about 18 years ago and I haven't had any cravings at all.
Hey Michael
Every day free is a new victory!! Do whatever you must not to smoke, call people, go for a walk or run , post here and ask for help if the urge gets too strong . I "dipped" for 20+ friggin years and as of April 2 nd I have been tobacco free for a whole year. I am so glad I did it and so is my wife .
Keep the faith my brother
Chris
Yup today at 4:30pm was 11 complete days. I quit after listening to one of Zig Ziglars motivationals. I've had plenty of gum on hand and just dived into preparing my business and marketing campaign.
So between the motivationals, Proverbs, and faith in what I want to accomplish, I have beat it.
And big props to those of you who have beat it and dipping as well. The price and health aspects are just some of the reasons it's no good.
As stated, I was starting to feel like a leper when I smoked, even in the bars!
Your smokeless streak still alive Michael? Keep it at it ... hopefully, it's getting a little easier!
I've just completely saturated myself in my wholesale education and upcoming business which I decided to begin on January 1st. That will give me enough time to save and have a really nice website designed to which I can point my direct mail too.
Saving will be a lot easier now that I'm not throwing away $200 on cigs a month ; >
Thanks for asking,
Michael
