where to find the Cheapest windows

Question

Had an experince with a big company that sell windows the other day. They advertise with a prise 189 dollar any size including installation. I call them and ask them if thats correct. "Yes Sir it is" Then there comes a represent from the company and should mesure up the window and the price now is like 350! So i had to show him the door.

Well im in mahoning county. Where is the cheapest place to buy windows? The instalation i can do my self.

I just had 13 windows installed for $6400.  They are nice windows but not upper end.   The problem is the house was built in the 50s and have a metal tray around the window. 
Lowes sells windows for $150 but installation is where you pay the $$s.

Not sure if you have a Menards in your area, but you can get a pretty good deal there on Jeldwen windows.

The houses I rehab are older houses, and they typically have big windows which have to be custom ordered, and the prices are really reasonable.  The last house I rehabbed for  a rental needed new windows and nearly every window in the house was 26'W by 72"H.  Those only cost me around $100 each.  Just get the base unit without the low e glass.

Vista window company in Warren. Contractors purchase price $100 bucks or at least thats what is was 2 yrs ago.

Was this company World of Windows? They offer $189 with installation included in my area, but I do use them...they are usually in that price for my rentals. For my house though...I also use them, but their more high end products, which are more expensive. I have also purchased H.D. windows before, which are nice quality and price...but then I have to install them.

Home Depot markets a very economical yet energy efficient line called American Craftsman (made by Andersen).

All vinyl, double pane, tilt in for cleaning. Prices start below $100. I used them throughout my home.
