Has anyone switched their POTS to Ooma for their business line? If so, how was the experience? Pros and cons are appreciated.
We have a home office line that we are thinking of porting to Ooma.

I have Ooma and it is amazing. The rate for a basic line is around 3 dollar per month.
At least when I signed up they technically did not support a business line. I am not sure if has changed or not.
The only real difference is the level of support you would expect to receive for a consumer product vs a higher business rate.
For about 15 a month you can get two lines with a different ring for each line.
The only people I know who have an issue with Ooma are people who run it on clear. The latency is a little much for Ooma.
I have been using Ooma for over a year with great success. I use a google voice number for business and forward it to my Ooma home office line and to my cell. I was able to get the Ooma system before they started charging for local tax. Even though I am paying no monthly fee  , I wouldn't be bothered if I had to pay the $3 a month current users do.
I helped my parents switch to Ooma... Setting it up is really simple if you are using an internet connection that is anything but DSL... with DSL there is a couple extra steps to go through.
The service is great. Calls are crisp. I've been thinking about switch myself.
We just dropped DSL for a cable modem so that shouldn't be an issue. I have basically heard all good reviews so far both here and on the other online forums. I'm going to the store to pick a unit up tomorrow.

I hate to act like a buzzkill, but services like Ooma and Vonage, Magicjack or Grasshopper are not fit for any sort of enterprise application.
If you are simply switching one or two lines over for your home office, it's fine. However, if you are looking into an enterprise solution, with more than 20 users and more than 5 or so lines, you need to look elsewhere for VoIP solutions.
I would never use anything other than Cisco or HP for any enterprise solution. Cisco has things like the Unified Communicator series, which hooks into Salesforce, forwards calls, and does a dozen other things that you might not need. I'm implementing it in our upcoming office because of open desking solutions, so that an agent isn't tied down to a physical phone, and they can log into the phone with an account to register the extension to that phone.
These systems are not cheap. a 24-port, 1Gbps switch could run $1,200 new, plus phones, plus a router, plus adequate security, plus some fast internet. However, these other systems are cheap, because you get exactly what you pay for. The call quality is inherently not comparable to a land line, where Cisco systems along with a good QoS management in place can easily provide consistent and clear calls over IP.
I got the device in the mail yesterday from Amazon. It cost me $199 or so. I'll set it up next week and report back on how it works.

Bryan, did you get a chance to set it up yet? If you need any guidance, feel free to PM me or leave a message here.
Thanks Chris...I tried setting it up last week, but I have to port my number and that can take up to a month. So I have to wait a bit to get it done.
My plan is to start the number port tomorrow. I had to wait for my phone bill to come in because I didn't have the account number.

We ended up having to pay an extra $15/month for wireless monitoring of our home security system because Ooma isn't compatible with our security system. So the net only saved us about $15/month, but it also got us wireless monitoring in case someone cut our phone lines....something to consider if you end up using Ooma.
I really like the service so far too. The box is also a built-in answering machine and has some other nice features.

I haven't done much research on Oomba yet but I was interested to see this thread because I just heard about it for the first time this morning in an article my boss put on my desk. How does the features and audio quality compare to Skype?
