TECHIES.... CAN YOU HELP?

Question

This isn't really related to Real Estate. I have a daughter that teaches a class, she wants to have the option of offering it online "Live", and charge for it, etc. What would she need to do to do that? Are there any sites you know of that host such things or ? Joshua Dorkin Brandon Turner or anyone?

Karen Margrave - you may want to check out www.blackboard.com or www.webex.com/products/elearning-and-online-training.html.  Both get the job done, so it's a matter of what you prefer.

Its my understanding lot of higher ed institutions use blackboard and it was built from the ground up with learning/students in mind ... and I see they have a eCommerce functionality. webex started as meeting software and then moved into the training space.  I'm sure there are more options out there, but am only familiar with the above listed platforms.  They are both robust and very scalable.

Personally I'd rather be called a geek :)

I'm a programmer (with carpal tunnel or tendinitis or something). It hurts way to much to do it as a profession, sadly :( But it opened the doors to REI, so you never know what's going to happen in life!

I wish your daughter luck with teaching! I've worked as a math tutor and it was awesome!

Hey Karen Margrave - I think Udemy.com has that option. I'd check that out. I really like their platform for teaching, and I'm almost positive they have the option for doing live lessons.
