Yellow Letter to Neighbors
There are a lot of "older" people in my neighborhood who have slowly been selling their houses and moving out. I want to send letters to a number of houses that I know fit this criteria.
What would you recommend when sending a yellow letter to a neighbor. Is there any advantage (or disadvantage) to addressing that fact in the letter or is it better to send the letter as an anonymous investor who happens to be a neighbor?

I would send a Greeting Card.... something like. And state on the inside that you're neighbors. Make it super personal.
What if they are neighbors that I don't actually know personally?
I think on the inside I would put something like I drive by your home everyday and I would love to buy it if they decide to sell. I think the fact that they are not like right next door makes it a little easier.
I say that I'm your neighbor. I live on *** Street. If you happen to see me walking my dog, working in the yard, I'd love to meet you. Please stop and say hello! Random people wave and honk their horn to say hello when they drive by. This is what I write.
