Serendipity and How it Helps Accomplish Goals

Hard work can pay off, if you let it! In a world where everyone looks for quick gratification it is hard to stay on track and work hard to develop great outcomes when it takes a long time to accomplish those outcomes! That is why a person working hard should find joy in the small wins to increase their drive towards their main goals. Serendipity is the ticket, and it helps brighten the road to success.

Hard Work and Patience

It does not take much to realize that hard work and patience is what leads a person to greatness. It is the long hours and late nights that bring the gratefulness to achievers. Success does not happen after a couple weeks, a couple months, or even a couple years. For example, take a great football team that finally wins a Super Bowl after many years of not making it to the playoffs. Those teams make it into the playoffs after losing in the first round, and then making it to the Super Bowl and winning it after tirelessly working for many years to even have the opportunity to accomplish that goal!

That team that gets to the Super Bowl was able to keep pushing forward and count the small wins throughout their journey to the big day. The small wins were the games leading up to the Super Bowl, the playoff wins pushing them within sight of their goal, and betting teams the team lost to in the previous years to get them to the Super Bowl. This is an exact example of serendipity.

Serendipity

Serendipity consists of “fortunate happenings,” which I had the pleasure of experiencing in the month of March. I was asked to host an open house for a friend, (I am licensed as a real estate agent) and while hosting the open house, a couple walked in and fell in love with the property. As they took in the amenities the home had to offer they indicated that they did not have a real estate agent to assist them in purchasing a home, and they would be very grateful if I would be willing to assist in writing an offer to purchase the exact home for which I hosted the open house.

Their offer was and the close of escrow was successful. To me, this was serendipity and gave me a boost of energy in route to my bigger goals. It’s the small, fortunate happenings that a person should focus on to get himself or herself in a greater position to win big!

Conclusion

If it were not for the small happenings motivating successful people through their hard work, there would not be anyone willing to become a success. The goal on the journey through success is not to always to hope for the big wins, it’s to cherish the small ones for the right amount of time!
