I am a new client to EJF Realtors. The prior property management firm I worked with retired after 20+ years. Making the transition to a new firm can be challenging. EJF has been responsive and thorough with the management of our properties and reporting of issues and/or changes. Their portal is easy to navigate and contains all the relevant data needed to track both our residential and commercial property's performance. To date, tenant issues and service needs have been addressed quickly. I have had some technical support needs, which have been quickly resolved with much patience on the part of EJF. I am feeling optimistic about the new relationship.

Kudos for the outstanding customer service provided by Ms. Ivy Jesto and Ms. Diane Requillo. From the very beginning, they demonstrated excellent knowledge of housing-related matters and were able to clearly explain our options and the steps needed to resolve our issues. Both Ms. Jesto and Ms. Requillo were extremely efficient and proactive in handling our concerns. They not only addressed our questions promptly, but also went the extra mile to accommodate our specific requests. Their professionalism, patience, and attention to detail made a stressful situation much easier for us. Employees like Ivy and Diane are a great asset to the company. Their dedication to customer service and their expertise in their field truly stand out. I sincerely hope the company will recognize their value and continue to keep them as part of the team. Keep up the great work!

EJF Rentals has consistently provided me with excellent service including great communication, well-considered direction and an organized on-boarding transition that have been great in keeping my tenants comfortable in the very critical handover stage. Gayzeal Barnedo has been particularly helpful in this process, and I cannot recommend her or EJF enough.

I would tell anyone in my life to avoid renting an EJF property at all costs. EJF is a slumlord company, content to leave tenants living in unsafe and unsanitary conditions while racking up outrageous and often suspicious fees. Our kitchen was overtaken by rats for MONTHS because EJF refused to fix a hole in the exterior of the property (or adequately fix holes in the kitchen walls). We were living in a kitchen covered in duct tape and steel wool — our best attempt at protection — but they still chewed through (see photo). They also left us without heat for 2 weeks during a snowstorm because “the owner wanted to see if he could get a cheaper estimate” to fix the heater. (This is after we told them the heater had a carbon monoxide leak and the fire department had to be called and they took more than 24 hours to respond, and only did upon follow up). It is tough to be paying $3k/month for rent and be shivering under blankets in February and battling rats in your kitchen. The only thing that ever got them to lift a finger was threatening legal action, at which point they would dispatch the world’s shoddiest contractor to do work that often didn’t really fix the issue. Most if not all of the customer service agents you can contact via email are actually contractors in the Philippines (presumably a cost cutting measure as God forbid anything like labor cut into EJF’s profits). We’ve spent a long time trying to decide whether the company is malicious or just truly incompetent — probably a mixture of both. That’s not to mention the various fees they’ve tried to charge us ($364 for a routine drain clearing? And a mysterious $160 “trash removal fee” they tried to take out of our deposit until we asked for more info/documentation and they immediately caved, calling it an “error”). The business practices are fishy, exploitative and simply unacceptable. DO NOT RENT FROM ANY PROPERTY EJF MANAGES IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY.

EJF Real Estate Services is a great company. Their employees are very knowledgeable, kind and always provide me with an immediate response to any questions or concerns regarding my rental property. I can relax knowing that EJF it's keeping my property up with the necessary repairs and improvements. They carefully follow the DC regulations for the tenant’s safety and security. They also recommend and provide rental increases that are fair and consistent with the market. Jocelyn, my property manager, is outstanding and really knows the business of customer satisfaction for the renter and the property owner. I would gladly recommend her to my family and friends.

She was thorough and professional, and I am very grateful. Let me also say how grateful I am for Adolf Gemarino's work. I had some challenging issues to sort out, and he was able to give them fixed extremely efficiently and thoroughly. I'm very pleased.
