If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Please please please head our warning. We booked through Airbnb with a host called "Jon". This was back in September 2024. For a family wedding here In Austin this weekend. All fine, we confirmed a few things 10 days ago in regards to the property, messaged on Tuesday to check about check in etc and "Jon" replied saying it will all be sent over automatically at 4pm by Airbnb. So we've flown in from London (10.5hours) 7 of us and my little girl who's under 2. Got through security etc and at 17:00 when we landed, we had no check in information. We sent a couple messages, tried calling but the number on the Airbnb listing wasn't correct. After a bit of googling, we found the Austin Vacays/ STR Management company. When we called, we spoke to Jade, who said they "offloaded" this property 6 months ago so they no longer manage it. She would figure something out and call us back, instantly we had a message back saying the same thing from "Jon". No call back. We chased again, Jade admitted she had sent that message straight after the call. So who is Jon?! When we explained about the message the day before and the week before, "apparently" a colleague hadn't noticed the booking it was for and just replied to us. Seems strange when one of our questions was about a travel cot in the property.... Something they'd have to check their listing about? After multiple calls and promises of calls back, Airbnb got involved as it was now 18:30, at the airport with no accommodation for the night. Jade had said she would check their other properties for vacancies. However at 20:00 I had to chase for an answer as we had received no communication and they knew we had a baby with us. Airbnb forced a full refund to allow us to look for other accommodation. However at the time of night, for 4 rooms, we were pushing limits and had to find a hotel for the night. When approaching Austin Vacays to atleast help cover the costs of the hotel for the night due to their colossal mess and oversight they had a hard No as their response. They're blame apparently lies with Airbnb for not delisting the property? But they had been in communication with us very close to check in, surely they should have noticed it. I'd also like to point out, Jade said that they "offloaded" this property 6 months ago, however the most recent review on Airbnb was 4 months ago, to which they also posted a response. Another slip up? Too many lies were given to us yesterday to make us even consider trusting or recommending this company to anyone. It genuinely felt like we had been Conned! I gave them the chance to atleast try to make amends by helping us out for the night so we had ample time today to find a new property to book, but they'd rather leave us with a baby in a foreign country without anywhere to stay. Hold your hand up and admit your fault, rectify it and save face rather than shafting people because "It's not your problem". Maybe Jade approached this incorrectly and your Manager wants to reach out to sort this out to which I will happily alter my review. But it should have been dealt correctly to start with. To all of you that have taken the time to read this review and rant, I'd check who you're booking with and recommend finding another company to book with for future bookings! Customer care here is a big fat FAIL! Not the American hospitality I'm used to! Hopefully this review will save others from falling foul to this con. DO NOT RISK YOUR STAY OR YOUR MONEY!

I have been SO happy with STR Management. I have an Airbnb in Austin. I manage it, but STR handles the cleaning. They are super communicative and affordable. I also love that they send pictures and keep an eye on everything in the condo like supplies, etc. Ive' been using them for almost five years now and I just wish I had found them sooner. Highly recommend!

The place where we stayed was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and felt like home. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the full kitchen worked beautifully, especially since I had kids with me who treat me like their personal chef! The location was perfect, with easy access to food, bars, and even a pharmacy. Communication with Ames was excellent, check-in was smooth, and we had no complaints at all. If we’re ever in Austin again, we’d definitely book this place without second thoughts. Highly recommended!

Review for Airbnb listing, “Close to Barton Springs + Zilker | King BR + Patio” located in Austin, TX I will absolutely be back!! The place was perfect!! It was insanely clean, and that was so refreshing. There was no clutter. The entire space was tastefully decorated. I loved how cozy it felt. It was very quiet at night, and the temperature of the place was adjustable to my needs. Parking was also convenient, I liked that I had a reserved parking space right outside within eyesight. It allowed me to see my car from the home’s window. It felt very safe. The hosts were very responsive to my needs, and helpful to me anytime I reached out. I honestly wish I could just move in and stay forever! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Absolutely loved our stay! The location was a breeze to find, and we had no trouble exploring all the amazing spots they recommended. I brought my adorable newborn son along, and everything was so tidy and welcoming.

Our large family gathered in Austin for Thanksgiving, and we were thrilled to find a downtown home that fit all our needs. The spacious table accommodated our entire group, and the kitchen was perfect for multiple cooks to prepare our festive meals. There were enough beds for everyone, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It's worth noting that extra services like early or late check-ins come with significant fees. With family members arriving from various parts of the country, we had to spend time in restaurants and malls with our bags until the 4 PM check-in, which was not ideal. Our host was very responsive, but some concerns couldn't be fully addressed. Despite minor glitches, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is an excellent choice for large groups wanting to be within a short Uber ride of almost everything in Austin. We made wonderful memories and would recommend this home for its spaciousness, location, and overall comfort.

Awesome house in Austin, very clean, cozy and had many amenities!! Walking distance to restaurants, food trucks and coffee. We came in for the Kentucky/Texas football game, didn’t get the result we wanted but spending time with friends was priceless! Ames was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make our stay great. Can’t wait for another trip!
