I applied to rent a home that was managed by this company. They had a technical issue with zillow and couldn't view one of our background checks online so we had to email it to them. In the time between submitting our application and getting the technical issue solved, they accepted another renters application even though ours had been in for days and we'd been told we'd be approved once they got the background check. When I brought up that we submitted first, they told us they were forced to continue accepting applications even though ours were still pending because of "fair housing laws" which was not true, they are not required by law to continue accepting applications if one has already been submitted and pending approval. In the end they sent the lease to both applicants at the same time and had us race each other to sign and pay the deposit. We found out we'd lost the place before we even finished reading. I wouldn't want to rent from a company that puts applicants in these artificial high pressure situations against each other and expects them to sign leases without reading them. I think it speaks to how they treat their renters. We probably dodged a bullet.

If there was a way to give a zero review I’d honestly give it to them. I’ve been in my duplex for a couple of years and ever since property manager was taken over by Gomes I’ve had several issues. I’ve put in maintenance requests for the same issues for over a year and have never gotten a resolution. The staff turnover is atrocious. The entire process of trying to get maintenance is ridiculously frustrating. I’ve had random men come to my house several times to look at an issue (literally just to look at it) then disappear without any follow up. I’ve literally been asking that the sinking floor boards, refrigerator leak and dishwasher be fixed for over a year. No one returns calls and I feel this constant tension to just leave. I love my neighbors but this company is awful.
