I did a self-guided tour of a place in Brewer. Nope. Predatory, outrageous price for an ancient, small 2BR unit that doesn't seem fit to live in. The agent I spoke with was super nice, polite and helpful - I'll give them that - but from now on I'll be staying away from this company in my housing search.
The condition of the property barely resembled the online photos. The house's exterior was dilapidated and dirty, untrimmed shrubs took over half of the small, rickety wooden porch that was nowhere near level with the door or ground. Porch railing was wobbly to the point of being unsafe.
Inside, it hadn't been swept, and it was obvious they'd simply slapped a coat of paint over the warped, crumbling, water-damaged walls without making an attempt to address actual repairs. Tiny kitchen, all fixtures looked to be about 80 years old and filthy. I didn't even look at the bathroom out of fear of what I'd see. Probably spent less than 2 minutes inside and left. Granted, it's an old house and you wouldn't expect the floors and walls to be perfectly level or smooth, but this place seemed like a mold lawsuit waiting to happen. Certainly not worth $1500 a month plus utilities!

I've in the process of moving into my own space for the first time in a long time and needless to say, there was a lot of anxiety involved. However working with Ben and MREM has been such an easy, efficient, and quick process that it took a lot of the stress and guess work out of the whole process. They were very responsive and answered any questions that I had! Overall it was a very smooth experience.

I’ve had a great experience working with this property management team. As someone in the industry, I can say they truly prioritize professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail. They handle everything from tenant communication to maintenance and financials efficiently, making the entire process smooth for both owners and residents. It’s clear they care about maintaining properties to a high standard and building strong relationships. I’d highly recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable and knowledgeable property management.

I had a pretty great experience with my property manager Ben. We applied for a place initially at the higher end of our budget and unfortunately they would not accept our 4 cats. But Ben sprang into action and found us a place willing to allow us and our cats to move in. He set us up a time to go see the place and signed the lease not long after. Overall I highly recommend Ben and MREM if looking for an apartment.

In my stay here in this apartment building, the owner of the building super duper friendly and the agency itself is very responsive. They immediately fix my heaters and everything. My apartment is fully furnished, my needs to cooked foods, refrigerator and all are excellent, even our laundry area. The area itself is what I need. I am an ER Nurse near in this building and the environment is very calm and accommodating and all I want also is the people here is friendly. The agency is also consistently considerate to my favor and questions. Thank you for everything.

As it was our first time in the U.S., Ben helped us settle in and truly understood our anxiety. His support made everything much easier for us. Ben highly recommended agent. Thank you so much.

Logan is incredible! After the first apartment I was looking at fell through for reasons, he let us in on a new, much better, place so we could get in and see it in the first time slot and apply, and he made the entire process from application to moving in painless and, frankly, delightful. He indulged my compulsion to always be in the loop and know all the details and kept me updated every step of the way. He coordinated everything, liased deftly with other parties that were involved and was kind, understanding and just lovely the whole time. If you get him as your agent, you are BLESSED.

The apartment was pretty nice. I liked the kitchen and dining area when I first walked In: liked the sink, counter, etc. room for a table and chairs and extra kitchen furniture. There was no living room or the other side of the kitchen was the living room. The bathroom wasn't huge but had storage/shelves/bars/fan/tile in shower. The two bedrooms were small. One had a small closet, other had a two door closet. Hardwood floors.
Nothing wrong with it I just prefer more space as I have a lot of furniture etc. I think it's a good size for one person or even a couple if they don't have a lot of stuff.
