After the first apartment I was looking at fell through for reasons, he let us in on a new, much better, place so we could get in and see it in the first time slot and apply, and he made the entire process from application to moving in painless and, frankly, delightful. We are planning a long distance move and Maine Real Estate Management has been very professional and easy to work with. It is a huge stress relief to already have an apartment secured and settled. The staff has been timely and clear in answering all my questions. The process was straightforward. I like their renters' portal where I can see everything about my rental unit.

Do NOT rent from this cheapskate company. They are in multiple legal entanglements because of their poor rental practices and MANY arbitrary fines that other landlords won’t charge. They don’t replace broken utilities in their buildings, or maintain the basic cleanliness or even the basic livability of their buildings. They don’t mitigate insect infestations, they don’t regularly clean their buildings, and they consistently steal money in various ways. Expect ceiling leaks, expect to hear everything your neighbors are doing, expect to hear everything inside that’s happening outside. Expect to walk down gross hallways with stained carpets. Expect to have poorly repaired sink drains and broken light switches. If you value your living situation, never, ever rent from this company. And take a look at how many times they’ve been reported to the State of Maine for unlivable conditions. Even their paperwork processing is terrible, and even when you send in proper paperwork they don’t update their systems.

The apartment was pretty nice. I liked the kitchen and dining area when I first walked In: liked the sink, counter, etc. room for a table and chairs and extra kitchen furniture. There was no living room or the other side of the kitchen was the living room. The bathroom wasn't huge but had storage/shelves/bars/fan/tile in shower. The two bedrooms were small. One had a small closet, other had a two door closet. Hardwood floors. Nothing wrong with it I just prefer more space as I have a lot of furniture etc. I think it's a good size for one person or even a couple if they don't have a lot of stuff.
