When you have to/ choose to move , it can be stressful very easily if things aren’t going well.. I came to LREI in that stressful situation and in a time crunch and I was approved within 48 hours with excellent communication throughout that time. I’m still new here but from my history with property management, I am actually impressed. Thank you!

Apartments are old outdated and poorly maintained. Property has changed management companies several times in recent years. Each one worst than others. Slow or no response time to maintenance requests, and messes, broken glass left after "repairs" Prepare to not get your deposit back due to false charges of damage at move out. Stay away from any property

We contracted with LREI in the Summer of 2024 to rent a house we had, but we pretty quickly realized LREI’s main business isn’t renting properties, but billing owners for ridiculous expenses.
In the first week LREI sent two maintenance guys, Sid and Al, to the property by accident at different times for the same reason, but charged us for both visits at $65 an hour.
LREI also overcharged us for materials. Their contract explicitly states that they don’t have additional fees, but when we disputed the excessive charges for materials, we were told, "Our materials cost includes the cost to sourcing and procurement, it will not be the same cost of you going to the store and purchasing your self.” One of the costs was for a needless new air filter, replacing a brand new 2 week old air filter.
After 2 months of a newly remodeled property sitting on the market while Justin and LREI found new ways to bill us, we moved on to a property management company in the business of renting properties, and not overcharging their clients.
We ultimately paid all of these fees due to threats from the company, but have reached out to the Kentucky AG and Better Business Bureau.

Previous owner. Very disappointed with maintenance and general communication. Microwave died and maintenance replaced it, but didn’t bother to repair wall damage or quote for a patch on damaged wall underneath the mounted microwave.
Our tenant moved out at the end of lease and LGE came to upgrade our meter and it got damaged somehow. We were four months without power and unable to get a new tenant with me having to make dozens of texts, calls, and emails to check the status of our property (some blame falls onto weather and LGE too). Maintenance finally asked me to call LGE on their behalf as they were “getting nowhere” with LGE and our meter was replaced later that same day. FOUR MONTHS without electricity. Had to call maintenance to see if they turned off our water when temperatures dropped to single digits, and they hadn’t. Our pipes could have burst if I didn’t request the service.
Also, left a voicemail with them 3/17 to ask about getting our garage key back since we were only given back our front door key and I’m still waiting for a reply from the office (currently 3/26). Perhaps this review will help get my key returned or at least warrant a reply.
When things go smoothly everything seems fine, but something out of the ordinary happens maintenance and communication leave more to be desired.

We switched over to LREI Property Management a local property manager in Louisville approximately a year and a half ago.We have been very pleased with LREI.
They are very professional and have systems in place to make many processes, go smoothly and efficiently. We have one point of contact with Justin director of operations and then he has many people on his team who each have their own specialty who we are also able to communicate with if needed.
Just to mention a few of the very helpful people we have worked with on Justin’s team are Stephanie, Chrystal, Rejoice, Marie and Mohammed.
LREI has done a great job with managing our property, placing qualified tenants, completing work orders in a timely fashion and getting our effective occupancy up to a good level dramatically better than the two prior property managers we worked with.

LREI began managing our properties a couple of years ago, and we have been extremely happy with them. We are especially happy with their quick response and caring attitude.
Muhammad (and Stephanie) have been a great point of contact for maintenance. Muhammad cheerfully helps with our most difficult maintenance items.
We have also had several major capex expenses, and we have had a direct line of communication with the maintenance team during these types of expensive situations.
Overall, we are very please with LREI and the entire staff.

Good and very quick maintenance ! Muhammad helped me on the phone when I got locked out by accident and I was able to get in again within 15 minutes. I am grateful. Mason Woodall was the maintenance tech and he fixed my apartment and did a great job ! They did a great job and I am satisfied.

Living here has been a great experience! The Maintenance Supervisor, Muhammad, responded immediately, and Rob, the Maintenance Technician, had everything fixed by the time I got back from work. Fast, professional, and reliable service like this really sets the standard. You’re not going to find a team this efficient and well-versed in maintenance just anywhere—this kind of crew is rare, and they truly get the job done right. Highly recommend!
