My name is Kollin Ruiz, and I’m an investor-focused real estate agent with the Horizon Homes Group in Milwaukee, WI. I specialize in helping buyers purchase duplexes and small multifamily properties for house hacking and long-term rental investing. Growing up in a family of real estate investors, I developed a strong appreciation for how powerful real estate can be when approached with a long-term strategy. Today, I primarily work with local owner-occupants and buy-and-hold investors looking to build wealth through well-located rental properties in Milwaukee’s strongest neighborhoods. My focus is on house hacks and stable long-term rental properties, rather than short-term flip or BRRRR strategies. After a 6+ month search, nearly 50 tours (I lost count), and several competitive offers, we finally landed in a home we love — and we have Kollin to thank for it.
Kollin is a great listener. He always heard our thoughts and opinions, remembered what we discussed in past conversations, and we never doubted that he had our best interest in mind. His market knowledge and offer strategy were a huge help in a competitive market where we were up against multiple offers more than once.
As hopeful and eager buyers, we felt a lot of rejection and defeat along the way. Kollin remained cool, calm, and confident through it all. He kept showing up, kept advocating for us, and never let the frustration get to him — even as our little tag-a-long toddler grew wilder and fussier each month.
We truly appreciate Kollin and his team and can't recommend him enough.

Kollin was a great realtor for our first home buying experience! He made sure we felt comfortable through out the process and confident with every decision made. When making big decisions, Kollin was incredible! He always presented all options for us and gave his own opinions based on previous successful situations while still letting us be in the driver’s seat. Kollin helped us obtain our first home and we are forever grateful. You rock, Kollin!

Kollin did a fantastic job helping me through my first transaction as a seller. He walked me through the process with detailed instructions that, besides niche cases, already answered any questions I would have had. When listing the house he went out of his way to advertise through any avenue that was available. Advertisements, mailers, emails, contacting other agents, door to door, the list goes on and on. Once we had an offer in hand he walked me through it in a way that demonstrated his strong grasp on the process. Throughout the process he offered solid advice, I can't say enough good things about his proficiency as an agent. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

Kolin is very hardworking and determined!! I definitely felt like " I wasn't just a client, but we were an unstoppable team!!" Through proper communication, he always made himself available to answer any questions I had and see multi homes at a time. Because Kolin is such a great listener, no time was ever wasted looking at homes that weren't right for me. He listened and executed!! Every time we went out at minimum I saw two homes which really helped keep moving the process along. His professional demeanor and caring nature makes him top notch and second to none!! He gave me confidence and knowledge to help prepare me for the homeowner journey, even provided contractors. I truly look forward to working with him again in the near future, I highly recommend Kolin Ruiz as one of the best real estate agents!!

Kollin assisted me purchasing my first home/investment property. The market was very brutal for duplex's. He worked with me for months sifting through many houses eventually helping me secure an accepted offer on the perfect property. He never gave up on the process even when it got difficult. I will continue to use him as I expand my portfolio in the future.

We met Kollin Ruiz back in May 2024, and he is very professional and great to work with. He gives us good advise in what to look for when you are buying a property, and guides us through the process. When we found the right property we hit a few bumps, but Kollin always stay positive and told and showed me that he and his team got my back. He always puts us first and not a lot of people do that. Thanks for your hard work, we appreciate you!!!

Kollin is a fantastic agent. He worked with me for months to find just the right investment property. He's patient, thorough, responsive, and a great negotiator. As an out-of-town investor, I was so grateful to have such an honest and industrious agent in my corner! Even after closing on the property, he's always just a text message or phone call away if I need a referral for a job, or just a thought partner as I consider a new investment strategy. I cannot recommend him more highly!
