About us
I have experience in fix and flips, buy and holds, BRRR, house hacking, STR, MTR, LTR, and 1031 tax exchange. Whether you need more space, less space, a solid investment or a dream to be realized, I am excited to help you achieve your goals. On both sides of the transaction, Real Estate matters are powerful moments that help shape the trajectory of your life. I consider it an honor and privilege to join with you in this process and will do my utmost to understand your unique needs and see them met. With a decade of experience working locally in Land Development, I have developed a passion for understanding my clients' needs, helping them navigate the process, and providing them with the best solution. I first arrived in the New River Valley as a Hokie student when I followed the advice to "go to the place that feels like home". Without a doubt, the area has become my home, and I love paving the way for others to make it theirs as well. When I am not helping folks buy and sell Real Estate, I love to spend time with my beautiful wife and kids, play basketball and volleyball, home-brew, and build things. Tom simply IS the best. No ego, no attitude, just a desire to get you your forever home.
I showed up to a house viewing, and Tom had shoveled the driveway for us after a recent snow!
Tom kept in check with us every step of the way to ensure no hiccups.
Don't think twice on reaching out to him, he's the realtor for you!

Tom is straightforward, easy to deal with, and overall just a great guy. He even went out of his way to check up on the house when he didn’t have to, which really showed how much he cares about his clients. The whole process was smooth and stress-free thanks to his honesty and clear communication. Can’t say enough about working with him!

Tom is great! We were pretty particular about what we wanted and the location. Not only that we live out of the area so needed to lean on someone we could trust. Tom did just that. Not only that, once we were processing the home he help a lot with having contacts who could weigh in on the systems in the home to know well what we were really purchasing. If/when we do another property in Blacksburg we will call Tom.

Several years had passed since we our last contact with Tom, and that was on a social basis. When we needed an agent, we remembered Tom had changed his career to real estate. He immediately recalled us and eagerly accepted our request for assistance. Tom is the consummate gentleman and agent. It was such a delight to work with him! We were pleased in every aspect. We highly recommend Tom, without any reservation.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience looking for houses/properties with Tom. He is very knowledgeable and was extremely patient as we went back and forth figuring out what exactly we were looking for. I also really appreciate that he was proactive but never pushy. We would 100% recommend Tom to anyone and would definitely go back to him if we were ever in the market again!

Tom was great! He is very knowledgeable about the area and was able to quickly get our property on the market. We were fortunate to have offers on it shortly after listing, and Tom very capably guided us through the sale process. I would recommend Tom to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the New River Valley.

Tom Sproul is an outstanding realtor. He helped my family and I sell our father's property. From the first telephone call Tom was helpful and engaged. He took the time to research the history of the property and was always available to answer any questions we had -- and there were a lot of questions. He provided advice when needed but never pushed us to take his advice. His calm demeanor was welcome as this was also an emotional time for us. I highly recommend Tom Sproul as a realtor. He will be the realtor that I will contact if I need to buy or sell property in the future.

Tom was wonderful! Very responsive, answered all my questions, made sure I understood everything as a first time home buyer, helped me feel confident in my decisions, and gave great advice! Tom was excellent at making the process less overwhelming by sending reminder emails of tasks on my plate, keeping me updated on timeframes during the closing process, and facilitating communications between myself and other parties such as mortgage lender and home inspector.
