It's not always easy finding reliable contractors in Chicago, especially for multifamily properties, but Quality Builders did a great job. Jonathan and his team renovated my basement, upstairs bathroom and did some work to my deck. This was my first experience renovating anything and he was very patient with my pickiness and frugality. His process is not really set up for ordering things online ahead of time vs. just-in-time purchasing from Home Depot/Floor & Decor with what’s in stock, so I did a lot of the sourcing and ordering myself to get a unique look. As this was a smaller yet longer project due to financing delays and my delays, work was fit in around other projects which was fine since I didn’t have a particular deadline. I would suggest being very detailed about the contract, elevations and try to figure out everything ahead of time so you aren’t having to make any decisions immediately on site or trusting the subcontractor’s interpretation. Of course I didn’t have an architect and it’s my first design, so I think we both learned a lot and the results came out great!

Quality builders helped us with two bathrooms at our Property in Brookfield. Their focus on taking the time before construction started was greatly appreciated. We were able to select our materials and see what the bathrooms would look like when they were finished. The entire process was polished and smooth. The final product turned out beautiful, and we will be recommending quality builders to our friends!

QB saved me after a terrible experience with another contractor. They got my project back on track and saw it to the end. My project was a full gut on a 2 unit property in Chicago with a 203K loan. It was a drawn out process but QB was professional and reliable. We had weekly meetings about the progress and pictures were loaded in their mobile app every week, which was great because I wasn’t on site. It was my first renovation and they offered guidance and was always kept it real about budget and what could be done. Jonathan went above and beyond to make sure I got to the finished line and I’m grateful for him. The only hang up I had was the finishing guy. It took him a while to get come back and patch up things at the end but we eventually got it done. I highly recommend and would consider them again. The easiest to work with and I didn’t feel like they were taking advantage of me because I am a woman.

We met with a design consultant, picked out what we wanted & received slide shows of how it would look at the end. No work was started until the team at QB ensured everything we wanted was in possession. That last bit was a bit stressful but appreciated knowing we got what we wanted. Of course some hiccups along the way, but that was expected when you’re gutting out a home. Overall, Jonathan, Eddie, Matt & the whole crew were on top of it. We hope to never go through this again, but if we do, I have Jonathan’s number so he would be my first call.
