Derek is extremely knowledgeable in mortgage lending. As a first time buyer he educated us on different loans, compared options and helped us pick one right for us. The whole process was easy, from submitting documents to closing. I highly recommend using Derek at Gold Star Mortgage.

Derek and Thomas did a great job helping us get our first home! They got us approved very quickly and we were able to get an accepted offer on a house before it was even listed. We ran into some problems with how picky FHA loans were being but Derek did a great job keeping us informed during the process. I would highly recommend Derek and we will definitely be using him next time we buy a house. Thank you for your help, Derek and Thomas!

We had a lot of questions, and he was always patient, explaining everything in detail and making sure we felt comfortable every step of the way.
