Update – Raising my rating from 1 star to 4 stars I wanted to provide an update to my original review. Anderson Advisors has now reached out and is actively working to resolve the issues with my 2025 return, the unexplained income items, and my 2024 underpayment penalty reimbursement request. I’m a big fan of the educational videos put together by both Toby Mathis and Clint Coons — they’re excellent and one of the main reasons I’ve stayed with the firm. I also use their Platinum services and bookkeeping services and have had no issues at all on that side of the business. The initial lack of communication and very slow response times were frustrating and caused unnecessary stress, so there is definitely still room for improvement when it comes to communication timelines. That said, I’m glad they’ve stepped up and I’m hopeful everything gets fully resolved soon. Thank you to the team for finally addressing my concerns. Terrible communication and unresponsive tax team – avoid if you value your time and money. I’ve been a client for tax preparation and received zero response to multiple follow-up emails over the past 2+ weeks (last contact was April 6). My Tax Associate and entire team have gone silent despite urgent questions about major discrepancies on my 2025 return and a request for reimbursement of a 2024 underpayment penalty that resulted from following their specific advice. They added significant income items that weren’t in my organizer or documents, leading to a much higher tax bill than expected. I’ve already paid the IRS while waiting for answers, with no timeline or acknowledgment provided. Extremely disappointing service from a firm that markets itself as expert tax advisors. If you need reliable communication and accountability on your taxes, look elsewhere. I’m now exploring other options after this experience.

They attorneys and advisor are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. If I had one nit-picky issue is that communication can be slow at times. Other than that, they are great!

She didn’t just answer questions, she made sure I actually understood the structure, compliance considerations, and how to properly operate the plan going forward. As someone who is actively investing in real estate, including tax deed investing, having the confidence that my retirement structure is set up correctly and compliantly is extremely important. Debbie’s guidance gave me that confidence. I also work with other investors who have set up QRPs through other providers, and many of them mention feeling uncertain or unsupported after the setup process.
