Legacy on the river in Waterford on Pontiac lake road is not taken care of, DO NOT RENT there or you will regret it. I stayed with a tenant there multiple times and the stairs are dangerous, I have fallen down them, they do not salt them. I have fallen multiple times in their parking lot and on their sidewalks. It is not taken care of at all. They charge $1,000 for rent to have untreated property? Absolutely ridiculous. I have injuries from their property and here is a couple photos to prove it.

Move in process was super easy, great communication, Payment is easy and straight forward. Best of all the maintenance man for the Milford location goes above and beyond for everybody in the complex. Anytime you need anything he is right on top of It, makes us feel safe and heard. Definitely makes living here easy and comfortable!

I was really impressed with how smooth the entire leasing process was. Talia was so friendly, patient and very responsive...she always returned my calls and text in literally seconds plus made sure all my questions were answered. Another big plus is that there's no charge for the credit check, which shows they truly value prospective residence. I highly recommend checking out this community! 5 Star for sure! Talia, I know I've thanked you a100 times already, but truly and seriously......THANK YOU! YOU made this process so much easier, and I'm genuinely grateful. Kristin

This is another update to my last email. Whoever is considering moving here: DONT. I’ve been living with a whole in my roof after 2 months of moving here :). This is an update, they did fix it but unfortunately not properly, so now the damages have proceeded to get worse. They keep charging us late fees for no reason and this is what we pay to live in. Thank you legacy equities for respecting your residents. You clearly are running a scam here.

I have been renting with legacy for two years and they told me this past month that I could submit a 30 day notice for move out if I no longer wanted to stay. Though my 30 day notice was submitted as of the 8th the office told me today that I need to leave before the 30th. I asked if I move out earlier would they reimburse those days and they said no. They also said that if I am not out by the 30th that I will gain another full month rent charge for October and I will not be reimbursed any of it. No contract of any kind ever stated any of that information, this is all together unprofessional and inconvenient. The office also does not have any management that originally handled my lease to assist with this matter. Negligence doesn’t take any business far.

Living here was such a good experience. Talia is honestly the sweetest, super friendly, easy to talk to, and just made everything feel super comfortable from the start. She made the whole process feel way more personal, like you’re renting from someone who actually cares. Ari and Josh were also awesome, everything always got taken care of fast. Overall, it just felt easy. No stress, no weird landlord energy, just genuinely good people.

Honestly, best landlord experience I’ve ever had. Zero drama, zero weird surprises, just good vibes and a super well-maintained place. Anytime I did have a small issue (which was rare), Talia, Ari, and Josh were on it immediately. Like, scary fast. It’s like they’ve got a sixth sense for maintenance. They’re super communicative, friendly, and actually care—which is wild because I thought that was a myth in the renting world. Seriously, it felt more like I was being hosted by friends than dealing with a landlord. If you’re thinking about renting from them—do it. You won’t regret it. I’m lowkey mad I can’t take the team with me to every future rental.
