I'm Jimmy Lieu, a real estate investor and investor-friendly real estate agent in Columbus, Ohio, helping local and out-of-state investors find, analyze, and purchase investment properties throughout the Columbus market. I've completed $35M+ in real estate sales and 200+ transactions while building my own seven-figure rental portfolio here in Columbus. I moved to Columbus in 2020 without knowing anyone in the city and started my investing journey with a house hack, renting out the extra bedrooms. I just closed on my first home in Columbus and the process went really well, thanks to Jimmy! I would definitely work with him again.
Jimmy is incredibly proactive, responsive, and organized. I live out of state and had so many questions as a first time Columbus investor/buyer. Jimmy was attentive throughout the entire process; his deep local knowledge, investment expertise, and network of contacts helped me navigate everything smoothly from property identification, to underwriting and post-deal management.
Jimmy has a truly strong work ethic, one of the strongest I’ve seen both in real estate and in my primary field of work (tech). I would highly recommend Jimmy.

Where do I start? Guys Jimmy is hands down someone you need on your team! My real estate investing journey has been a long time goal that I needed to just dive head first in and get wheels on it. When I first spoke with Jimmy, I knew he was one I needed to be on my team instantly. As an OOS investor, there were a lot of hesitancies, uncertainties, and questions I had. And Jimmy without a doubt, listened, understood, and walked me through every step of the way. If you are reading this, you need Jimmy on your team! When we first got started and I analyzed deals, he did not hesitate to tell me no on ones he thought were bad deals and talk me through why. I needed that! And today, I just closed on my FIRST deal with him, and let me tell you, he held my hand through EVERY step despite ALL of the multiple hiccups, inspections, timeline changes, contractors, bids, lenders, re-analyzing numbers, insurance, and even led me to an AWESOME PM!! He truly is a one stop shop and I am forever grateful for the time, effort, and first hand genuine care that Jimmy gives to ALL his clients no matter how busy or what time of day it is. And especially for OOS investors and first time investors. I am excited to continue my journey of RE investing with Jimmy and when im ready to do another deal in Columbus, I will definitely be doing it with him!!!

I would 100% recommend Jimmy to anyone looking to invest in real estate in Columbus.
Getting my first deal was a huge learning curve. From February to April, I personally analyzed hundreds of deals, Jimmy helped me review 80–90 deals, and we made 6 offers before finally closing on the 7th one. I sometimes felt guilty sending him so much work 🤣, but he always got back to me quickly with thoughtful feedback on rehab costs, rent estimates, neighborhood quality, and overall deal viability. I learned a ton from his explanations.
One thing I especially appreciated was that Jimmy consistently pushed me to double-check my numbers and rehab assumptions before making offers. That habit alone probably saved me from making emotional decisions more than once.
During the negotiation for my property, I was actually ready to accept the seller’s higher counter price, but Jimmy encouraged me to hold firm because he believed we still had room to negotiate. He ended up being right, and we got the property for about $10k lower on a ~$200k deal. As a first-time investor, I would not have even realized that opportunity existed without his guidance.
Jimmy also regularly sends out investor deal emails, and many of them are good cash-flowing opportunities. Several of the offers I made came directly from deals he shared, which saved me a lot of time while working a busy W-2.
I just closed on my first property and am already planning to buy my second deal with him. If anyone is considering working with him as your agent, I’d be happy to connect as Jimmy's reference!

As an out of state investor, it took me quite awhile to find a realtor like Jimmy who truly understands the pain points and also is an investor himself. I closed on my first deal and looking forward to working with Jimmy on many more!
