My rent has increased just under $1000 since moving here. This is not a luxury apartment. This is an apartment with mold issues with heating issues with walls that are crumbling. My heat will not get over 64° in here during this cold time without me having to keep my oven going. With the electric heater that I had to purchase with emergency money that I had for food is keeping the apartment at 65° Property Management has not resolved this. their resolution wants to offer to bring me a space heater, and when they could not find one due to being out of stock, I had to purchase one without reimbursement. We have not been shoveled out or anything done so that we could safely leave the building in an emergency doors are blocked in and frozen shut.

I would like to believe that this was not done purposefully but I can’t help than feel attacked. This how my driveway way left with me blocked in. Howzer a day later after the storm sent a crew out to clear us out.

I’m only giving 5 stars for how jordene handled my situation. I do not like this company as a whole and will not be renewing the lease. But jordene is amazingly helpful and patient

The maintenance team and all involved here at 54 Longwood has always responded in a respectful and timely manner to all of our concerns, questions and needs as new tenets. They come in and solve the problem on the spot. They have access to direct contact with tenets via text message and or email which is assuring. They update through text with the status of a job. They have helped us through the process of how to place a meld request for maintenance. Over all, we have had a great, and frankly, comforting experience here because of the help we receive.

Jordene was quick and courteous with her response. She had a tech out to me within the same business day of my request who addressed 3 separate issues in the same visit! I’m tremendously happy with the repair work and response times.

We were much happier prior to Howzer taking over as property managers. My family has been sitting in sweltering heat for FOUR days now and after repeatedly requesting that anyone come out and fix the problem, we were told we had to wait until Monday (day 5). It’s supposed to be 100 degrees today. We pay a HUGE amount of rent and central air is an amenity that came with our unit. That being said, we were ill prepared to deal with this heat when the central stopped working. The company did not offer any fans/air conditions (at the very least) in the meantime. We have two you fee kids that can even be in the house because it’s so uncomfortably. Prior to this issue, their lack of communication has always been horrible. I’ve worked in client relations for years and I must say, this company is horrible.

If I could give a negative review, I would. One star isn’t even deserved.
First and foremost, the apartment I moved into in April did not have working heat. When I informed Howzer about this issue, one of their employees asked if I knew how to read a thermostat. It turns out I do know how to read a thermostat, and the apartment's old furnace, which was over 40 years old, needed to be completely replaced.
This property management company is extremely unprofessional, unresponsive, and accusatory, just to name a few issues. Additionally, I was charged for the removal of a grill at the end of my lease, even though the grill was already in the apartment when I moved in. If they had simply looked at the grill, they would have seen that it was in poor condition, likely due to its age and use over the past 20 years.
There were multiple issues with the apartment from the first day I moved in. Their maintenance team is incompetent and cannot be trusted to fix any problems. I requested to have my apartment door lock code changed for safety reasons. The maintenance person who came by was unable to change the code, so he decided to buy a new lock and install it without informing me. At the end of my lease, I was also asked to pay for this lock, which I had not requested, and they never mentioned that I would be charged for it.
I will make sure to share this experience with anyone considering using Howzer Property Management Company.
