Horrible experience with PMI Grand Visions. Everything went wrong from the start. When you look at their website, they give you one price, and then they add a lot of ridiculous fees that ended up increasing the rent by more than $150. Then they charge you a fee to park your car. A week after I moved in, they tried to have my car towed. They tried to intimidate me, but fortunately, the police intervened, and they didn't tow my car. I was never given any notification, nothing. When we moved out, we fulfilled all the terms of the contract, and they charged us ridiculous and false fees, like $250 for two Command Strips or $300 for a supposedly broken window. Despite asking for photos of the alleged broken window, they never sent me any. They kept the security deposit. Before vacating the apartment, we did a deep cleaning of the house and left it much cleaner than when we initially received it, which had drawers full of bags and trash, and the bathroom drawers were full of hair. Upon moving out, they were charging us more than $2,000 in ridiculous and exaggerated fees. I definitely do not recommend PMI, especially if you are Latino, because they will try to take advantage of you. I advise you not to let this abusive company get away with this. I will be taking this to court because it is a blatant scam.

Very poorly managed. They tell you they premarket their properties. That means they don't have funding to fix the problems and will push the available date back 6 months. This is so they can collect application fees for profit. Horrible company. Also when I pointed this out and questioned the guy he hung up on me then refused to answer any more calls. Do not pay the application fees rent from anyone else

Josh has been the absolute best. He has taken his time to answer every single question that we have had. He has made sure that all of our concerns were resolved. I could not have asked for a better representative of PMI than Josh.

I have had a memorable experience with PMI. I have had 3 girls in college in multiple states, colleges and apartments. I have never had to jump through the hoops that I've had to with this apartment company. Needless to say, the process was a little much. It was hard to get contact and feedback but, once I learned the tricks, I was able to get it done. Deether was very responsive and helpful. I appreciate his help but, I do wish the process was easier. I give it 4 stars because, once you do figure out the process it was complete--it really should be more like 3 stars but, I do appreciate Deether's help.

Working with PMI was simple, easy, and fast. Diether and Ana both were so incredibly friendly and helpful. We have had many rough experiences with renting, but I am extremely happy with the service we received from PMI.

Here are some of the facts related to a recent eviction. The current manager at the Charleston location is a person named Jenifer Bawcum. 1.During the eviction it was noticed that the tenants had placed some items on the back porch of the downstairs unit. The downstairs unit was vacant. The manager told one of the tenants to remove her stuff from the back porch and then had her arrested for trespassing. 2. During the last day set by the judge for moving, this “property manager” showed up with the sheriff to enforce the removal order. They were already in the process of leaving so there was no reason to bring the sheriff. 3. The tenants were forced to leave behind personal property, including several cats that were still hiding in the apartment. When the tenants left, the locks were changed and the door locked while these cats were still in the apartment, without access to food or water. Jenifer Bawcum would not allow the tenants to go in to save the cats. Some of the cats could still be seen in the windows in the days after they left. 4. I personally contacted the owner of the property and told him about the cats. He gave me permission to take the tenants to the property to save the cats from dying. We entered the apartment through a window on the second story. There was only a storm window there as the actual windows were missing. We entered the apartment and were able to rescue one of the cats that was trapped. There was another one that had got into the downstairs through a hole in the bathroom floor. We could hear it meowing, although weakly. I am pretty sure that this cat did not survive. 5. This property manager wanted to have us arrested for breaking into the property, even though we had permission from the owner. We were trying to save the lives of animals trapped in the apartment. 6. The tenant also left a Gorilla Extension ladder at the property because he didn’t have time to get it. On the day after Memorial Day, the maintenance man, Dustin Cole, posted this ladder on Facebook Marketplace for $100. One of the photos shown on the Facebook Marketplace ad had the PMI Grand Visions maintenance van in the background. This was not his property to sell. 7. At the damages hearing, Jenifer testified to multiple “damages” she claimed were caused by the tenant, totaling over $20,000! Most of the damage was damage that was in the downstairs apartment or damage that was existing before these tenants moved in. These tenants had made several improvements to the property in their time there. This property manager only had a few months’ experience with this property and had no idea the condition of the property for the past several years. Yet, she thought she would try to stick the leaving tenants with a $20,000 restoration bill which they had nothing to do with. 8. Continuing with her testimony, she testified, under oath, that she had estimates from vendors for repairs. One of the vendors was to be hired to remove the remaining property left by the tenants. This estimate she testified was $850. Instead of letting the tenants go back and retrieve their belongings, she hired someone at a cost of $850 to go in and remove these items when she could have had it done for nothing. 9. Additionally, when she testified at the court hearing, she testified, under oath, that no work had started yet. That very day, and the day before, there was a truck and trailer at the property loading up the tenant’s property to haul it off. This was witnessed by me and others as well. She testified contrary to this on the stand. One of the tenants was taking photos of the guys removing the property and the guy got upset about that. He told the tenant that they were hired to remove the property and that they were taking it to the dump. Again, instead of letting the tenants go and finish getting there property, she hired someone at an additional cost to the owner to haul it to the dump. As a prospective tenant or property owner, is this the type of property management company you would want to deal with?

PMI formally known as EIP and Charleston new management is very unprofessional and not nice had Several complaints throughout my tenancy that were not addressed in timely manners, some discarded altogether such as the grass being cut. The city even had to post signs around the building for a management to cut the grass and they are charging tenants each month for lawn care this caused a mice infestation in the building I was on the second floor and had them coming in my apartment through the walls. I contacted management and they failed to address the issue
