Go to their yelp reviews and you'll see all the dissatisfied renters
Don't be fooled by their bots giving them 5 stars. Its impossible to talk to someone and they really are in it for the money. All the emails I've sent are gone unnoticed when I complained about upstairs neighbors noise at quiet hours or when I complained about homeless people breaking into our units. Nothing was ever done. Beware..

I been renting thru EGL Properties for about 4 years now and honestly no complaints, stuff always gets fixed fast and everyone is super professional. The online portal makes paying rent and putting in requests really easy which I like a lot.

Homeowners beware!
If you are a home owner and need a property management company do yourself a favor and find any other company. The quotes you will get for repairs are insane. Basically every repair they wanted to do was up charged 100-200%. For one of repairs I got my own vendor and saved $3,000. It's a classic case where the vendors will come in and find 10 other things to "fix" to increase the bill and EGL just passes the bill along since it's not their money. They then always responded with "you can get your own vendor if you want". Then what's the point of a property manager if I am going to do all the work anyways? I spent more time managing EGL then if I had just done the management myself.
You will also find that EGL chargers a fee even if they don't find you a renter. I had potential prospects call my phone directly because EGL forgot to give them the details to view the house. The motivation to fill my property was very obviously not taken seriously.
Go find someone else, really. With EGL you will either be massively overpaying or spending a lot of your time managing them.

Our A/C went out on a hot weekend and someone came to fix it within hours. The team was nice and explained what happened. It's not always perfect, but they try to help as quick as they can.

I've rented through EGL for the past 3 years and have had zero issues. Their portal is easy to use and I love being able to track my maintenance requests. Everything from move-in to renewals has gone smoothly.

The property manager lied to me and said I would one day get a parking spot since spots were limited. So far 2 new tenants have moved in and have been given parking spots before me. They also locked off my patio stating that it violated some sort of code but other people in the complex have access to their patios and bbq on them and use it for storage.
Not too big of a deal since I like the unit but this company definitely lacks integrity and honesty. They also take forever to get maintenance done and returned my girlfriend’s security deposit past the 30 days they had to do so.
Reply to 7/9 response from owner: I don't have a problem with following state safety guidelines. I have a problem with enforcing them only for me. There are units on the property that grill on their unsafe balconies and smoke cigarettes. You can probably figure out which one but they were also allocated 2 parking spots some time ago. There's clearly favoritism at work.

EGL Properties has been some of the most negligent landlords I have ever dealt with, and the high rating on google is making me think they may be deleting reviews. I lived in a vintage building that has been severely neglected by EGL. It has taken the city inspectors to get them to do things like fixing broken windows and peeling paint. One of my neighbors had to take up doing landscaping because our courtyard was left looking like an empty dirt patch. It's nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone over the phone or email. Repairs consistently take over 30 days to even be addressed for initial inspection. They continue to advertise my building as having laundry to new tenants when the laundry room has been defunct for over four years. Even still they will not hesitate to charge you for every little thing, like a fee to verify to your tenancy to a new landlord. I have never met a single person from EGL face to face in my entire time living at one of their properties. I would not recommend signing a contract with these people.

They took over my apartment complex and started moving in section 8 people, not cleaning the pool, not mowing the lawn, had a cheap handy man come fix my door and he damaged my property they didnt wanna fix it untill i threatened to sue. They selectively enforce rules. They wont even do anything about the guy coming home at 3am with his radio all the way up. Had to make a discrimination complaint with hud. You're warned dont rent with them
