Application Process:
Initially applied in April 2026 and was accepted that same month - for a May 2026 move-in.
The application process was fine, nothing too complex; however, I did need to send reminder check-in email’s to receive my corrected lease (pet fee excluded).
Move-In:
Received a call (around the last day of April) from Property Manager explaining the home still needed to be cleaned on May 1st and that maintenance was still waiting on owner approval to complete pre-move fixes. Company was understanding of letting us still move-in May 1st with us working around the requirements, but not much notice for individuals moving in from out-of-state. Lots of confusion (non-existent garage mentioned, knowledgable of community pool we got keys to but no knowledge of its location, incorrect information of accessing mailbox, etc.). Some informational delays (i.e., the mail box access) seem to be because of the property owner and not property company but they didn’t notice the owner didn’t provide what was needed until we reached out stating their directions didn’t work after repeated tries. The property manager consistently asked if we’d left our reviews yet (~3/4 times) when we reached out for clarification, maintenance help, etc. during our first month, which was without one functioning kitchen sink (broken upon move-in) that was looked at by maintenance on 05/12/26, but not repaired by maintenance until 05/28/26 and no A/C after 05/19/26 that is still not fixed at the time of the review. We understand that maintenance orders can take time and reviews are important, but we don’t receive notices of parts being ordered, when we were waiting on owner approval versus waiting on parts, estimated time of parts arrival/owner approval, notice of when maintenance and/or outside companies would arrive to fix the issues (that was typically told day of), etc. unless we reach out to them first, which can cause unnecessary frustration as we felt in the dark at times and not knowing if the problems were being attended to.
Overall:
Property management has great personalities and are nice to work with (in fact Deana’s been the kindest and most professional property manager I’ve ever had), but the company needs to be more communicative when it comes to maintenance orders and organized about information. At times it felt like managements priority was on receiving reviews rather than assisting with the ongoing maintenance issues or clarifying correct information quickly, which added small frustration to the already complex out-of-state move, but made it clear they wanted honest/real reviews and understood us taking our time to leave them with everything going on. Seems like a great company compared to all apartment complex’s/small landlords I’ve worked through in New Mexico, and I’m excited to continue working with them through my lease! I will update/add to my review upon move-out to review the overall experience (which won’t be anytime soon as I do enjoy my new home, but wanted to leave a fully honest review as requested based on my experience)!

I’ve always managed my own property until this year and my initial hand-off to RentMax didn’t give me the greatest sensation; however since Deana Eastman has taken the reins as my PM, and dare I say advocate, my mind is at ease. Deana is extremely responsive and looks into any concerns I may have, providing me with all the pertinent information. I’m extremely thankful to her…, an absolute gem!

We had a really good experience working with this team. Andrew was the one who showed us the house and helped us through the move-in process. He was patient, helpful, and made everything feel straightforward and stress-free.
Nichole, the property manager, was professional and responsive whenever we had questions or needed assistance.
Diana handled the key walkthrough and made sure everything that needed attention in the house was clearly pointed out and explained, which we appreciated.
Overall, the process was smooth and everyone we worked with was helpful and respectful. Thank you Andrew, Nichole, and Diana for helping us get settled into our home.

Ms. Deana has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. She is beyond kind, warm, friendly, inspiring, and incredibly encouraging. From the moment I viewed the property, she confidently told me the unit would be mine and she was right! I toured on a Friday, applied the same day, and by Monday I was approved. The entire process was seamless and stress-free thanks to her professionalism and dedication.
She truly knows her job and does it exceptionally well. I’ve never had such a smooth and positive experience with a property management office before. I am genuinely grateful and feel so blessed to have worked with her. This company is incredibly lucky to have someone like Ms. Deana on their team. She deserves all the recognition, respect, and honestly… a raise! Thank you for making this new chapter in my life so special.

Since meeting both Deena and Nicolle, we’ve had nothing but great experiences. Deena is always early, on time, and shows up fully prepared for everything. She’s incredibly helpful and makes sure you have every detail you need. Rentmax is a wonderful company—easy to work with and very straightforward.
We’re so happy to have finally moved into our new home. Thank you, God, and thank you to our new property manager, Deena! Merry Christmas—this is truly the best Christmas gift she could’ve given us!
