I am currently in a job but it is getting tough to manage both job and real estate. Only thing tha worries me about leaving the job is the cost and coverage of health insurance. Are you able to get good health plans for your family if not running your payroll in any of your companies?

Yes for sure. Costs you about a grand per month as a business expense. If you pay cash for visits or labs you get often 20-50% discount, because it's less paperwork for the doc.

Have you checked if you qualify for a subsidy from healthcare.gov? You can get insured at anytime of the year if you have a qualifying event. Which in your case, if you loose coverage through your employer, that event qualifies.

    Hi Marita,

Just contributing here to the BP community. A good option for you to look at and even more since you are an investor, look at HSA programs. It does require a high deductitle program but it opens up a whole new world for you and maybe down the line with some help you can direct that HSA with your investments in it and of course you get to use the HSA account with its benefits. Something worth looking into.
