Is Your STR Underperforming? It Might Not Be Your Location or Pricing

Anna Goodrich
Posted

When an STR underperforms, we tend to look at pricing, management and marketing first. But sometimes the problem is simpler: there's nothing making the property stand out from the 50 other listings guests are scrolling through.

I'm an investor, property manager and interior designer with 25 years in the real estate industry, so I approach STR design differently. I'm not just trying to make a property pretty. I'm looking at it through an investor's lens:

Where should we spend? Where can we save? What will photograph well? What will guests remember? And how do we get the biggest impact from the budget?

I specialize in creating elevated, memorable STRs without the designer price tag—whether you're furnishing a new acquisition or trying to breathe life into an underperforming listing.

I work nationwide and offer:

  • Virtual or in-person consultations
  • Design plans you can execute yourself
  • Full-service design, sourcing & furnishing
  • Strategic refreshes for existing STRs

You don't always need a massive renovation or an entirely new house of furniture. Sometimes a few strategic changes can completely transform how a property looks online.

The goal: spend smarter, stand out from the competition and give guests a reason to choose your property.

If you just purchased an STR or have one that's not performing the way you'd hoped, send me the listing. I'd love to take a look. You can also give me a call or text me at (509) 710-1580 and we can start by talking about your goals!

Check out my most recent project in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho!
