"Roper" brand washer/dryers

The price on a new set of these is very good at Lowe's. However some of the online reviews say that the dryer is too harsh on delicate knits. Does anyone have experience with the Roper brand?

As long as it dries the clothes it's good enough. If a tenant called to complain about the dryer being harsh on their delicate knits, I'd laugh.

If it's for a rental, and in this particular forum I would guess that's the case, then you want to have durability, low repair rates and repair costs, and low cost to buy. Tenants won't know about the brand and model, they'll just see it has W&D and be happy.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered them...it seem like a good deal for new appliances.

I don't think I've ever bought a new washer/dryer. I always get them from Lowe's return/scratch n'dent. But I do remember years ago I bought a used Roper set. I think they lasted a decade before their demise, no problems.

I don't have any experience with their Dryer's. I do have a Roper fridge (1998 yr. model) in a rental that is on its way out, but has served its purpose. Roper is made by Whirlpool.

Back in the '90's we bought a new pair of Ropers for our Florida home. They ran for 12 years & still worked fine when we sold it.
Meanwhile we have been through a lot of high end stuff in our homes & the poor quality is frustrating. Now every time I rehab a home I switch out all the appliances from our home to the rehabs.
I just gave my daughter a new Bosch dishwasher & moved her 4 yr old '$1300 Electrolux nightmare' to the rehab.
