He brings experience from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Colorado district attorney’s office, a boutique Colorado law firm, and prior work in construction and commercial land development. Matt’s background gives him a practical perspective on issues that arise when tax, business, real estate, and land development issues overlap. Matt's topic: “Exit Planning & Tax Bills for Colorado Real Estate Investors” covering topics such as 1031 exchanges, estate and family succession planning, and other advanced exit options, such as charitable remainder trusts, conservation easements, and 1033 involuntary conversions.

Meet The Host:
Colin Smith - Investing since 2012 and licensed Realtor since 2014. My niche as a Realtor has been working with investors in the buying, selling, and management of their investments. I've flipped homes, own and professionally manage rental properties (500+ doors), and been a hard money lender. I personally feel the buy and hold strategy is the ultimate wealth building tool. I personally own 45 residential doors and/or mobile home pads plus a commercial building across the Colorado Springs area while working toward financial independence.
