@Bishwash Aryal Brunswick itself is very small - only about 16,000 people as of 2017. The crime is very isolated to a specific area. The surrounding county and islands are quite safe. I invest here for a couple of reasons. The first is that rents are high in comparison to the cost to acquire properties. The second is that we have one of the Federal Law Enforcement Training centers in Glynn County. This brings in federal trainees and officers from all over the country. That alone has helped drive up rents. We also are a big vacation destination so a lot of the homes that may be long term rentals are converted into short term rentals. The crime statistics don't bother me at all. As with any other town/city, you have to know which area(s) to buy in.

I live in Kingsland, GA and own a couple rentals in the area. I have been look for a multifamily in the area so you have to tell me about your Quad! Congrats on the purchase!

I also live in Kingsland GA and own a few triplexes, duplexes, and single family homes in Camden County. I initially started flipping back in 2008 and over the last few years started acquiring rental properties. Just did my first BRRRR deal last year and looking to expand. Would live to network.

@Aundrea Newbern, Brunswick, GA is listed as worst in terms of crime, how has your experience been? Are you seeing any future growth in the area in terms of employment and increased safety?

Hello,
New investor here. I live in Glynn county, and I'm looking to invest in the area (seriously considering downtown Brunswick). Are there any associations or meetups in the area to connect with other investors, agents, etc.? It looks like CGAREIA was a thing at one point, but I can't tell if it still exists.

Jason, Brunswick is warming up fast. I currently have a commercial development on Newcastle St and am aware of about 200 Multifamily units that are in conceptual and planning phases for the immediate downtown area. Brunswick is a great place to get involved in real estate. Low barrier of entry and steady flow of tenants from the college, FLETC, and hospital, all of which are growing substantially.
The city and community are also excited and supportive of people willing to invest in old buildings and fix them up. Let me know if you want to get together some time.
