Investing in Norristown, Pennsylvania

Does anyone have any experience investing in the Norristown, PA market? What are your thoughts? I am familiar with the area, and now beginning to research properties there and their values.

Would suggest joining Diversified Investors Group your local REIA. A lot of investors there know Norristown well.

    @Steve Babiak I have actually already attended a few of those meetings, but am not an official member. Are you a DIG member yourself?

    Thank you for the recommendation. I have signed up for the event on the 17th at Tap house 23. Will you be in attendance?

     Also, I currently do not have any units. I am working with a partner on our first deal. He is another new investor that knows the area extremely well and I am currently working to familiarize myself with the people/resources in Norristown to help us succeed.

    Yes. And many other DIG members participate her on BP too.

    @Maurice Bailey There is a great group called the Bucks/Montgomery County real estate investors on the meetup app run by John Smart. It’s held in the Blue Bell area monthly. This would be the most targeted group to join as far as Norristown. Maybe I’ll see you there.

    Hello everyone,

    I am currently exploring real estate investment opportunities in Norristown as well. Similar to you, @Colton Richards, I am new to investing and I have a lot to learn. I would love to connect with people who have been doing this and willing to share their insights. I am ready to make my first cash purchase, but I want to ensure I make the right decision and have a team in place. I live abroad, so I am currently exploring options remotely. 

    I am hoping to get a flight back to the U.S., soon, but I am waiting for the borders to open up. If you are able to chat, please let me know.
