Does anyone know of a good (legit) real estate school online for Texas? I want to start getting into property management, but I know I need my license for that. Also do I need to be set up with a broker to do property management or just hold the license? Thanks!

Last time I checked there was an online course on Groupon for +-$199.  All the schools will contain similar data and help you get your license so I personally would go for the best deal

There are dozens and dozens of online schools for obtaining your license. TREC's website is your best source for anything real estate in Texas. Information on becoming a Realtor in Texas can be found here: https://www.trec.state.tx.us/licenses/salesapp.asp I'm planning to do the same thing, so I would love to hear from experienced Texas Realtors on this topic.

There is one on Groupon from real estate express for $179 I bought mine on here in December and it's pretty good I definitely recommend you to check it out. Hopefully this helps you. Best of luck !

@Stephanie Bureau If you go on the TREC website you can find schools that are accredited with TREC, both online and classroom. What I like about this is they also list the percentage from the schools who passed the license exam.

And yes you have to be sponsored by a broker, and that's going to be your biggest hurdle. Brokers do not like to deal with property management because of the perceived liability. There are a couple of brokers I know who will sponsor property management licenses, but they are few and far between.

@Stephanie Bureau I had a realtor recommend Champion, which if I remember correctly is accredited with TREC; but as others have stated the TREC website would be the best place to start.

    Best of luck!

    I am using this now:

    https://www.realestateexpress.com/

This is an online school. You can print out your courses. Learn at your own pace. Payment is between 600 to 1000 dollars depending on your chosen course line.

I have personally used trainagents.com for my RE license and continue education credits.
