Divide Lot in San Diego County

Has anyone in unincorporated areas of San Diego County (Fallbrook, Bonsall, Valley Center, etc.) ever applied for/been approved for dividing your lot?  We know SB9 is right around the corner, which will allow homeowners in an urbanized area to divide their lot BUT, we are figuring out if it is possible for us to do this now, outside of SB9, especially since we are on over 2 acres and live outside the city limits.  Thanks!

I have no experience in lot splitting but I see a lot of lot splits happening in San Diego through my W2. Have you tried contacting the county?

Btw, we are looking to buy a property near the areas that you mentioned and might do a lot split if it makes sense.
