I’m pretty new to RE investing, but I’m about to move to Texas and to start investing in the Houston area. I would like to connect with other investors in the Sugar Land and Katy sub markets.
Please let me know how these markets look like, including what and where to look for the nuggets. Thanks
Hi @Marcel Galega. Welcome to Texas! I’m from the Katy area and have invested there, Cypress, and Tomball areas. Sugarland is a great place to live, but seems like deals are harder to find. Depends what you are looking for.

Hi Tony, thanks for the heads up and that insider perspective! Greatly appreciated. I’m looking forward to the move and was hoping to find a duplex/triplex/triplex to live in unit and rent the other units. Are these types of properties available in the area? Can you recommend an investor savvy RE Agent?
Hi Erica, thanks for picking up my request and offering your assistance. I’m looking at the sugar land, Katy and Richmond areas. Do you have anything in these places that you can send to me?
These are a little hard to find in the burbs. But maybe you can connect with some of the local wholesalers or agents to help your search. I know old Katy has some small MF properties.
@Marcel Galega I'm an investor located in Katy. I also own a real estate brokerage and can connect you with an agent that could assist. Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions and I'd be happy to help.
