Out of State Investor Seeking Recommendation for Texas MSA

Hello BiggerPockets family,

I’m looking to jump into the Killeen/Temple, Fort Hood areas of Texas to buy and hold some multifamily residential units (2-4). I realize some of this information may be heavily guarded but any and all recommendations will be highly appreciated.

Some information I’d like to know to educate myself on the local market include:

-Investor friendly real estate agent

-A/B rated towns or neighborhoods

-Cap rates in such areas

-Typical vacancy rate used for calculations

-Property management recommendations

-Property management costs or associated percentages

-Investor friendly contractor

-Legal quarks unique to this area or Texas in general

-Any other helpful information worth noting

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise. Again very much appreciated.

Justin
