1) Decide on your finances.  Are you going to be buying your property in cash or do you need a mortgage? 

2) Consider what kind of investment you are taking on.  Are you going to be flipping? Selling wholesale? Or looking to grow your passive income by being a landlord?

3) Start your network.  Reach out to local people who have done what you're trying to do and learn from them.  Start building your list of professional contacts.
