Resources for Staging on a Budget

Normal 1528637661 Resources For Staging On A Budget

After decades in real estate, I’ve discovered that staging is an often misunderstood or overlooked aspect of selling a property. Whether we’re talking about a condo in Southwest Florida or a row house in St. Paul, Minnesota, one fact remains the same… staging can elevate a home, while still being done in an affordable, cost-effective way. In fact, you might be surprised to find out that a well-done staging can be one determining factor into whether a home sells within a comparable price range or not. And today, I have a number of resources for you to tap into for this important aspect of home selling, even if you’re on a budget.

Cape Town Collection at World Market

Let’s start with one of my favorites. For those of you who have visited World Market, you know that it’s an interesting mix of eclectic home goods. And their Cape Town Collection definitely hits the spot. From wall hangings to decorative bowls, the style has an exotic feel with a touch of detail. The furniture itself can be a touch on the pricey side, so I recommend sticking with the accents instead.

Coastal Living Collection at Bed, Bath, and Beyond

Fresh, shore-inspired, and attractive, this collection is excellent if you’re staging a home or condo in Southwest Florida. Truthfully, many of the pieces will work well in just about any coastal-style home. Personally, I would recommend checking out the throw pillows and the wall art for this one. The wall art especially can give you that pop of color you might need for a duller area in the home, but without attracting too much attention to itself.

Hearth and Hand with Magnolia at Target

This affordable one is making waves online and is very much trending. And there’s a lot to love about the style of the pieces. You’ll find that there are numerous pieces for this one that can add that extra bit of personalization to a staging without the pieces feeling dated or out-of-place. And the prices are especially awesome.

ED Collection by Ellen at Bed, Bath, and Beyond

Another choice from favorite Bed, Bath, and Beyond, this one is brought to you by star Ellen DeGeneres. Not only is it cost-effective, nearly all the pieces are eye-catching, but in a way that doesn’t detract from the rest of a room. I love that you can grab anything from trendy bathroom curtains to lovely bedding at a good price.

Pioneer Woman at Walmart

Finally, we have something a little quirkier and with a good deal more pop than our other choices. The Pioneer Woman collection at Walmart is truly affordable. Now, all these pieces aren’t going to be right in a staging, but there’s a few that might work, depending on the style of the home. So, don’t dismiss this one out of hand from the first piece you see, because several could work very well for you.
