Importance of a Real Estate Professional
Many buyers and sellers feel that it is not important to have a real estate agent represent them. What they dont know is the importance of a real estate agent to work on their behalf.
Take for example some of my personal experiences, I had a client looking for a rental house. They searched on numerous websites that were available to them ontop of the searches I was doing, one of the search engines being craigslist. There was a GORGEOUS house, in a prestigious neighborhood, with a pool and spa, renting for only $1,000 a month. My client actually contacted the listing on craigslist to find that the person she was talking to had to quickly move to Africa for business. The “owner” said to send the deposit and they would in turn send the keys to the property, too good to be true right, well it was. Unfortunetly there are some scams out there, luckily for my client I cross referrenced that particular home with the MLS (a site that real estate professionals use to blanket the real estate market). Conveniently, it was on the MLS and I contacted the listing agent to question this listing being advertised for MUCH lower than what they have it listed for on craigslist. Turned out that it was a false advertisement. Not only did I save my client into a mess of a situation, but also did as much as I could for the listing agent to terminate this problem, which shows the team work real professionals have.
Not only do real estate agents, such as myself, care for their clients and protect them in any way they can but as a family they protect each other. In order to exercise our responsiblities, we research and blanket the market on the behalf of the client and try to get the best deal possible.
