Planning your New Year.

The New Year is just right under the corner and some of you maybe already started to think about what you can do for the next year ahead. Putting a specific plan in place is a crucial thing to do if you have any goal for yourself. I never achieved anything on a big scale in life without using a specific plan on how to do it, unless you believe in luck, which is not going to repeat itself that often. To find these topics that will help you to make this year your best ever!

Set measurable goals.

Everyone is rushing around with all the cooking, presents, decorations and other things that going to be important for just that short period of time. But what about the rest of the year? Some people put so much thought and work into planning these couple days it is insane, but what they forget to do is plan the whole year which is ahead of them. So sit down and take time to write everything that you want to happen not just next year, but ten years ahead. Come back to the point in life when you knew that you can be anyone you want and achieve anything. Let that feeling sink in and start to write the things that you want to accomplish or have ten years from now. Make as big of a list as possible and then categorize then into these categories:

1. Work/Business.

2. Family/Friends.

3. Finances.

4. Health.

5. Recreation.

and more.

Next to your goal write down the time that it will take to achieve it and prioritize by those that you can do the quickest. Make the goals SMART: (specific, measurable, achievable, results-focused, and time-bound)

You have to measure your goals as often as possible to see if you're going in the right direction with your goals, as sometimes we get influenced and misguided by everything that is going on around us just like now at Christmas time.

Creating new habits.

If your goals are big enough to the point that they scare you, you may need to get a new set of skills and habits to achieve them, as fear is only an indicator that you're missing some information about the thing that you need to do or get. The first thing that I really recommend for you to do, is to wake up as early as possible. Imagine, if you wake up at 5 AM and some else is waking up at 8 AM. Three hours may not sound much, but imagine what you can do in that time, you can write your goals when you wake up, now it is 5:15 AM, next you can go and read a book for 30 minutes, now it's 5:45 AM after you can go to the gym and have a proper workout with no one disturbing you, as the gyms are almost empty at this time. If you have a 1-hour workout, then you still have 1:15 minutes to do some stuff at home, like have a healthy breakfast, spend time with family and then you are ready to take off and to conquer the world. Let me ask you this, how do you think the person feels when he is waking up minutes before the work starts? You are already miles ahead of him and you always will be if you will start to build this habit.

Reward yourself.

100% for sure, you will not be a happy person if you just go there and try to reach your goals without rewarding yourself each time you do so. So every time you reach your goal and no matter how small it is, always reward yourself with something big enough for that accomplishment so you will want to go and achieve more stuff. You need to be excited about the thing that you are reaching as it may be not a physical thing so that's why there's the physical thing needed to be placed at the end of that goal journey or another way it is hard to really motivate yourself to do something. The reward has to be equal to the size of your goal, so don't reward yourself with a new car just because you took all the trash outside, but again, that's the stuff that most people do. Everything takes time, to learn and develop new skills, to build your network, to educate how to make more money and what to do with it, but with every reached goal and reward your confidence will increase more and more until you are going to find yourself living the life that you always dreamed of.
