Demand For Low-Cost Housing Shoots Up as Foreclosures Spike

The US economy is in recession. Unemployment is at its peak. As people lose jobs, even those with very good credit scores are faltering on mortgage payments. Hence, foreclosures have become common.

In El Paso, the demand for low-cost housing project is on the rise. People want to take these homes on rent. However, the government is not being able to provide low-cost rent homes. Take, for instance, Lilia Vasquez. The 40-year old took at least a decade to avail of a housing complex. She really found it difficult to fend for herself and her 6 kids, with the meager income of her husband. However, her condition is better now that her husband has opened a business. One of her daughters is also working.
