Why is it so hard to find a mentor?

The reason this is personally important to me is because I have run five, only one tenth of one percent of people in the world have ever completed a marathon.  Would I been somewhat weary if a fat guy, who was 350lbs came to me and said “ I want to run a marathon” .  I would think for a minute and say hmm, will this guy make it? Will he be a waste of my time? Probably ,so I won’t take him on.  This is as far as I am concerned B.S. . I will tell you why,  I was that guy. When I was 350lbs I made a decision to run a marathon. My family and friends were all skeptical nobody told me I couldn’t do it but I was determined and driven I lost 135lbs in 11 months. Then I ran 5 marathons in back to back months. Not to bad for being a fat guy.

Long story short if I can run marathons I can and will do real estate and make a tremendous amount of money at it no holds bar. I will continue to post here in six months and I will become a player in all of your worlds whether you like it or not. Life goes on. After I had gotten divorced I gained all my weight back and again I am more determined now , more then ever to conquer my weight issues and real estate investing. This time I am killing two birds with one stone.

I will challenge any and all of you out there.   That as far as me giving back I will throw an offer out there myself.  Does anybody out there, who is over 250+lbs want to run a marathon?  If you do I will give you everything I’ve got to help you get to the starting line. WE will do it together.  I will do everything I can to get you to the starting line but I ain’t going to run it for you. I will be with, to see you through the sweat, pain, blood, and mental toughness.  All I would want is for you to give me a testimonial.  Now if anybody out there has the balls to take me up on this I will gladly help you rise to the occasion.

If anybody does, cool.   I will welcome the challenge.

So this board has taught me a couple of things so far, that everybody here whether student or seasoned pro can learn something from just about everybody, does knowledge come at a price you bet it does.  Because I am sure everybody is here building a community of better investors from people who have been there done and have the bank accounts to prove it.

We are here to network and have collegues and help each other out and the school of hard knocks is life we are in it. Nobody out there is perfect and together I think we will all make the world a better place.

So take a chance, nobody thought Thomas Edison had anything of substance look what he did? Evey once in a while a new guy will surprise and prove to the world that he can do it, but everybody, nobody got to where they are without somebody giving them a chance. Until next time Thank you to all.
