Tip on Agent-Builder Partnership

Normal 1598533899 Agent Builder Relationship

In case you have not yet known, the relationship between builders and real estate agents is symbiotic one as builder want to get their houses sold and realtors want to earn a profit. Therefore, realtors and builders are working together to maximize their profits and these are the exact reasons:

Boosting the revenue. Realtors are partnering with home builders to have a boost in revenues for both. The realtor can get a commission from the builder based on the price of the property (in addition to land commission if that is separate from the deal). While the realtor can connect the builder with good homebuyer. This “blessing” is an affirmation and a secure way for the builder to have a business transaction with the buyer.

Up the listings. As homebuyers shop around for a home, builders might refer the home buyer to the agent shall a working relationship exist between the builder and the agent. This affirmation will help the agent to get more business and up their sale.

An ever-lasting working relationship. Again, the builder-realtor working relationship is symbiotic. The realtor would get more business from the builder and the realtor would also refer his/her clients to the builder. The working relationship can go way beyond the closing of any home.

Creating an excellent working relationship. Dive in and learn about the homes from the builders. Ask questions and ask for any published materials that the realtor can share with the buyers. Attend demonstration events as well as presentations of open-houses. Engage in the conversations by asking many questions. The realtor can even schedule an private tour of the builder’s homes to show his/her interest and deep acknowledge. This will strengthen the working relationship.

Honor the terms of the partnership. Everything should be transparent between the builder and the realtor. This means that any buyer that each party refers to each other should be thoroughly notified with all working activities.

Let the home builder’s agent does the presentation. The realtor does not have to take over the presentation on the home in particular as the site agent has more training and knowledge on the particular home. By letting the site agent does his/her job, the realtor shows respect and thus, preserve the working relationship with the builder and his team.
