NJ MLS Coverage Map: How to distinguish your MLS Area

New Jersey real estate is dissected into eight multiple listing services (MLS). Each MLS has it’s own territorial jurisdiction based on it’s belonging to the National Association of Realtors. These databases that allow REALTORS® to help listing brokers work with buyers’ agents to sell homes.

It can be quite complicated to distinguish an MLS when you’re a new agent looking getting started in an area like Northern New Jersey, only to realize that you are in another MLS area once you cross over to a neighboring town.

Below is a map I created to easily see which MLS to start looking for based on the area you’re working in.  I hope it helps you get a feel of where to look for real estate as an agent or consumer!
