How to Bend the Matrix to Fit your Goals

One of my favorite movies of all time is The Matrix Series. The idea that we are sleeping and not living our fullest potential was very prevalent in my life before real estate. Even in these uncertain times, we know that this is but a moment and it too shall pass. When it does pass, you’ll find yourself asking the question: how did I use this time to go after my goals?

For many people entering the world of real estate investing, the idea of financial freedom or to be their own boss outweighs all the negative belief systems we have been programmed with. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard some variation of, “My uncle was a landlord and he______ (fill in the blank with anything negative that will keep you from your dreams).” Or, one of my favorites, “What do you do when the plumbing is backed up?” After 15 plus years of these negative thoughts, I turned them into positive outcomes.

People will not want you to succeed because ultimately it points the finger back to them and sheds light on their beliefs. I believe we live in a world of abundance and freedom for all. It’s been specifically through passive income with real estate where I have found that.

So what are your goals? What are your dreams? Why are you staying up late at night searching through our Market Report, Zillow, or Redfin and underwriting what could be the next deal that leads you closer to that freedom you desire?

I want to know. I need to know. Without understanding your dreams and goals, I can’t help you get there.
