Want to IMPRESS clients?! CLEAN YOUR OFFICE!!!
My sister went into the closing of her home at a local attorney's office. BIG real estate closing and divorce specialty firm and when I asked her how it went, she indicated their office was FILTHY!
This is a "women-owned" firm and I asked her what was unclean. She indicated the bathroom was filthy AND the office where the closing was held was dusty and smelled bad. The carpets had not been cleaned and the trash cans were overflowing. YEOW!!!
As a member of our MLS, I just started receiving blogs from this firm on short sales and foreclosures * canned content that has no local references and little valuable information.
My sister's second job in retirement from 30 years of teaching is as a plant-waterer and caretaker LIVE plants in several offices around UVA and her route includes several real estate offices. She recounts that many real estate firms have let their cleaning staff go and agents are NOW supposed to cleaned their own space now and the offices are not being cleaned.
Since she just helped me move my real estate office to newly painted and carpeted smaller office space and she meets me several times a month for lunch, she complimented me for keeping my desk and table surfaces dusted and my trash cans CLEANED.

I ROUTINELY empty my office trash in the dumpsters of the office building AND I vacuum the office weekly and water my live plants on Friday before the weekend......usually while on the phone or de-fraging my computer.
I LOVE coming into work on Monday and starting with a FRESH and CLEAN office space * READY to GET to WORK!
